ABOUT THE AWARDS
The Service Skills Australia Excellence Awards recognise and celebrate the outstanding contribution made by individuals and organisations in the training and development of the service industries.
The service industries cover tourism, hospitality, events, retail and wholesale services, community pharmacy, floristry, hairdressing and beauty, funeral services and sport, fitness and recreation.
The awards recognise individual trainers, registered training organisations and employers across Australia, who are setting the benchmark in the delivery of quality skills training and workplace learning.

WHY NOMINATE?
The awards provide a unique opportunity to showcase the achievements of individuals and organisations to fellow industry peers and professionals. It is a chance to share success stories and be recognised as a leader and significant contributor in training and workforce development.
AWARD CATEGORIES
Trainer Excellence Award
Recognise individual trainers and assessors who strive for excellence, best practice and innovation in the delivery of nationally recognised training that meet the needs of the service industries.
Industry Collaboration/Partnership Award
Recognise registered training organisations and businesses that have formed innovative partnerships to develop programs and strategies that meet the needs of the service industries.
HOW TO APPLY
Entering the awards is free and easy. Simply download the nomination form, address all of the selection criteria, attach any supporting documents and return your application back to Service Skills Australia by Friday 20 January 2012.

January 2012 - Judging Process
Early February 2012 - Award Winners notified
27 February 2012 - Awards Dinner at Sofitel Brisbane
AWARD WINNERS & PRIZES
As well as receiving a trophy, award winners will receive two complimentary tickets to the awards dinner, one return flight to Brisbane and one night accommodation at the Sofitel Brisbane Central.
