Beauty Continuous Improvement

Project tracker

The SIB10 Training Package was endorsed by the former National Quality Council on 23 September 2010 and is to be reviewed by 23 September 2012. As part of SSA’s process for continuous improvement the SIB10 Beauty Training package is undergoing review to ensure that the content reflects current industry practices and to meet the new Standards for Training Package.

Project Scoping

In 2012 SSA undertook the development of a profile for the beauty industry to capture the latest industry intelligence on trends and practices in the beauty industry. To achieve this Service Skills Australia distributed an online survey to gather the opinions and experiences of practitioners, salon managers/owners and trainers. The information gathered has been analysed with results published in the Profiling the Beauty Industry – Survey Results Analysis Paper.

This Paper was considered along side of the 2013 Hair and Beauty Environmental Scan and key themes identified. These key beauty industry themes were related to the SIB10 Beauty Training Package and the Beauty Training Package: Recommended Actions Report developed. This Report identifies a series of actions that will guide the continuous improvement of the Beauty Training Package.
